Mar i Muntanya (Catalan for “sea and mountain”)
In Spain, one is never too far from the mountains or the sea. While the phrase ‘mar i muntanya’ typically refers to cuisine that combines fish and seafood with mountain game and meat in daring textural collisions, it is also an interesting lens through which to explore the diversity of Spanish wine today.
Please join Pascaline and Ariana on August 1st for a delicious vinous romp along the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts and into the mountains of Spain. We will enjoy lesser-known grape varieties and styles from Spain’s most creative young producers, alongside inspired pairings from Chef Diego Moya. Featured wine regions include Catalunya, Galicia, Canary Islands, Rioja, Sierra de Gredos, and more!
