Racines NY welcomes Levi Dalton for a special Mature Napa Valley Wine Dinner

Wednesday, August 22nd we are very happy to welcome Levi Dalton, host & creator of the fantastic podcast "I'll Drink to That!" (http://illdrinktothatpod.com/), and one of the most knowledgeable sommeliers we know. Levi curated a fantastic selection of mature Californian wines, which will be paired with a special menu created by Chef Paul Liebrandt and served by the Racines NY team, Arnaud Tronche & Pascaline Lepeltier, MS.

In Levi's words about this dinner and  Mature Napa Valley wines: "Napa Valley casts a shadow of luxury wineries and day trip amusements for some, but if you look past that you can still find today a Napa Valley landscape of rugged Cabernets from second wave pioneers who broke through hard scrabble and loam to plant vines.  Napa Valley wines meant to be just as ageable as the European classics from which they took some inspiration.  We’ll showcase a number of different Napa Valley wines with a track record for aging over a meal meant to bring forward the nuances and the delights of these mature wines.  The youngest wine served will be over 15 years old, and the full lineup of wines will stretch back to the 1985 vintage.  Along the way, side by side pours of two wines from each of the 1996, 1994, and 1993 vintages will be served.  And there will three wines from the 1980s available at this dinner as well.  This is an excellent opportunity to check in with a range of different Napa Valley producers whose wines benefit from age – winery names like Dunn, Diamond Creek, Dominus, and Togni - and to do so within the context of many fine back vintages at the table.  Those who want to find the mature side of Napa Valley should attend on Wednesday, August 22nd".
